I slutet av 1980-talet när Matts Leiderstam fortfarande gick på konsthögskolan Valand började han måla en serie av målningar på masonit. Matts Leiderstam is a Swedish artist based in Stockholm. He obtained a PhD in Fine Arts at Malmö Art Academy in 2006 and studied painting at Valand Academy between 1984 and 1989. Leiderstam is currently working on the research project “What Does the Grid Do?,” with support from the Swedish Research Council. Matts Leiderstam har en Ph.D. i Fri Konst från Konsthögskolan i Malmö, Lunds universitet. Han avslutade sin MA på Akademin Valand, Göteborgs universitet och BA på Konstfack, Stockholm. Matts Leiderstam separatutställning Grand Tour visades på Magasin III under 2005.
